The skin is the largest organ of the human body. And it also is the first line defense against sun exposure, any allergens, toxins, infection or any environmental elements. There are three layers in the skin and the outermost layer which is the epidermis or stratum corneum, works as the skin barrier. And this layer is more prone to infection or environmental factors if damaged.
The epidermis has ceramides, cholesterol, fatty acids, proteins, lipids and moisture glued together to create that barrier. The more strength the layer holds, the less damage it faces. This skin barrier regulates water loss, retains moisture and maintains body temperature between the continuously changing weather.

Several factors are responsible for the barrier damage. One can highly suffer the post impact of a damaged skin due to these-
